Treva A'Dell Prather Germany

Memphis, Ind. - Treva A'Dell Prather Germany, 85, of Memphis and formerly of Covington, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 12:35 p.m. EST Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Christine Slaughter. She was born August 12, 1930 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of the late Joie D. and Eura A. Collins Jarred. She first married Clifford R. Prather on October 7, 1949 at the Stringtown Church of God south of Covington. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1992. She later married Rev. J. Horace Germany on September 10, 1993 at the Stringtown Church of God. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2001. Survivors include four daughters, Katherine(Frank)Lamb of Covington, Indiana; Christine(Mike)Slaughter of Memphis, Indiana; Darlene(Jeff)Whitaker of Perrysville, Indiana and Charlene(Scott)Woodard of Covington, Indiana; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Treva was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Jarred. Treva was a member of the Stringtown Church of God where she was very active in church activities. She enjoyed traveling to South America to help build churches and schools. She also sponsored children in Peru and would take trips to see them. Treva especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Funeral services: 3 p.m. EST Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Stringtown Church of God; Officiating: Pastor Keith Klossner; Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana; Visitation: 1 to3 p.m. EST Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Church.
