Travis Schoonover

Travis "TJ" Schoonover, 19, of Oakwood IL. passed away at 2:04 am on Thursday April 18, 2013 due to a car accident. He was born on October 2, 1993 to Travis Schoonover and Patricia Woodson in Urbana, IL. He is survived by his mother Patricia Woodson of Urbana and father Travis (Heather) Schoonover of Oakwood; brothers Brian Woodson of Urbana and Nikolas White of Oakwood; sister Brianna Schoonover of Oakwood; grandparents Ron and Wanda White and Grandma Twyla Steiner; girlfriend Ashley Dawn; the Woodson, Schoonover, White , Finley and Clifton families, and numerous friends who were touched by his life. A graduate of Oakwood High School Travis was an avid video game player who enjoyed reading books, wrestling and spending time outside fishing. Travis loved to cook and dreamed of one day becoming a gunsmith. An animal lover at heart he will be missed by his puppy Myla and dogs Blue, Taz, Tyson, Riley, Gyliath, Sadye, Toby, Jack-Jack and Ozzy. A great friend and protector to those he loved Travis will be remembered for his caring nature and belief in doing what was right. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in Oakwood IL. with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. A visitation will be held prior to services from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Oakwood.
