Travis Lee Wilson Sr

Travis Lee Wilson, Sr, 73, of Westville, IL, passed away peacefully at his home at 3:40pm, Thursday, September 24, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 13, 1936, in Danville, IL, the son of Fred Frosty and Josephine Angeline (Spicer) Wilson. He was married to Gladys O. Roberts on December 7, 1957, in Grape Creek. His wife of 52 years will miss him dearly. Others who are saddened by their loss are: his children; a son, Travis Lee & Beth Wilson Jr of Arthur, IL; two daughters, Patti Wilson of Danville & Teresa & Bob Cessna of Westville. Travis was blessed by five beautiful grandchildren, Marcus & Timothy Wilson, Lauren & Jerrod Jennings, and Emily Grace Cessna. He will also be missed by a host of nieces & nephews. Travis was preceded in death by: his parents; his siblings, Felicia, Zealan, Ishmeal, Donald, Fred, Gloria, Mickey and infant twin sisters; and his two nephews, Eddy Wilson & Marcus C. Wilson. Travis worked for Aerosol Techniques Incorporated, Zeigler Coal Company and Westville C.U. S. D. No. 2. He was a life-long member of Grape Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed hunting & fishing as well as baseball. He was an avid Cubs fan and devoted Westville Tigers fan. Travis was a wonderful husband and loving father. The family would like to give a special thanks to our angel on Earth, Jackie Long of Carle Hospice. A celebration of Travis life will be held at 10:00am, Monday, September 28, 2009, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville, with Jason Smith officiating. Visitation will be 2pm to 5pm, Sunday, September 27, 2009, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sandusky Cemetery, Westville. Memorial donations may be given to the Schultz House, 340 Bryan St, Danville
