Tracy Myers

Tracy A. Myers, 50, of Danville, passed away at 5:27am on Friday, August 14, 2009 at his residence. Tracy was born on October 2, 1958, in Dover, Delaware, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Janet (Schlinker) Myers. On February 14, 1997, Tracy married Ms. Sherry Swenson in Bismarck, Ill. She survives along with seven children; Samantha Myers of Hoopeston, PFC Dustin Riggle, stationed in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army, Nicole Swenson of Indianapolis, IN, Lissa Tindall of West Frankfort, IL, Kimberly Riggle of West Frankfort, IL., Amanda Groupe of Danville, and Aimee Grant of Danville. His seven grandchildren, his grandmother, Anna Myers of Lake Helen, Florida, his Aunt Marilyn (Bill) Schloot of Hoopeston, his sister, Teri Myers (Lea Osborn), several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his special friend and faithfully guide dog, Ziggy, also survives Tracy. His parents, paternal grandparents, and his first guide dog, Caleb precedes Tracy in death. Tracy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville. He worked at Menards of Danville, and enjoyed restoring automobiles, and spending time with his family. A memorial service will be held for Tracy Myers on August 20, 2009 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Danville beginning at 5:00pm with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00pm until time of service at the church. Per his request, Tracy will be cremated and burial will take place at a future time. Memorial condolences may be made in Tracys name to the American Heart Association and/or Work Source of Danville. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
