Tony Layne Wooster, 75, of Perrysville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.
He was born September 18, 1949, in Danville, Illinois, son of the late Forrest Andrew and Ethel Belle (Crisp) Wooster.
Survivors include his son: Travis (Cari) Wooster; his daughter: Tara (Wesley) Pendleton; his grandchildren: Hallee Layne, Layton Michael and Drake Lewis; and one brother: Terry (Vera) Wooster.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents.
Tony was a 1967 graduate of North Vermillion High School in Cayuga, Indiana and later went on to receive his associate’s degree from Danville Area Community College. Tony followed in his father’s footsteps and took ownership of Wooster Feed Mill in Perrysville, Indiana until his retirement. Tony had a passion for farm life and took pride in handling feed and raising cattle for several years. His love for animals carried over at home where he shared a special bond with his dogs Duke, Ben and Bo. He loved watching FOX News, Notre Dame, Westerns and John Wayne movies. Tony also had an adventurous side and learned to fly small planes while his parents were out of town on vacation. He enjoyed and looked forward to trips to South Haven and Mackinac Island, Michigan. His faith in the Lord was evident, and he was proud of his strong faith. Above all, the pride of his life was his grandkids. He loved spending time with them and was always quick to tell people how proud he was of them.
A Graveside Service for Tony will take place at 2PM EST on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Lower Mound Cemetery, north of Perrysville, Indiana. Pastor Joe Humrichous will be officiating.
Memorials in Tony’s name may be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis or Cancer Research.
