Tony George Stimac, 56, of Danville passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. He was born on April 2, 1956 in Danville to George Martin and Shirley Corn Stimac. He married his wife of 34 years, Rosena Zucca, on December 3, 1978. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Stacey (Bobby) Buckman of Georgetown and Teresa (Chad) Spicer of Danville; two brothers, Steve (Debbie) Stimac of Georgetown and Mike (Tammy) Stimac of Danville; a sister, Stacey (John) Stimac of NJ; eight grandchildren, Christian, Carter, Caleb, Hayden, Kelsey, Tanner, Trenton, and Jaxon; and a great-grandchild, Londyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Virginia Stimac. Tony had served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a delivery driver for Black & Co. in Danville. He was a member of Crossroad's Christian Church, where he enjoyed operating the sound and audio for services. Tony was a sports fan and liked the Chicago Bears and Cubs, but especially loved to attend his grandkids' sporting events. He also enjoyed cats, music, and watching and recording old television shows. A service to celebrate the life of Tony Stimac will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2012 at Crossroads Christian Church in Danville. Pastor Robbie Ketcherside will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Wednesday, January 2, also at Crossroads Christian Church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of arrangements.
