Tina K. Freeman, 67, of Covington passed away at her home with her loved ones by her side on the evening of April 19, 2024. She was born September 3, 1956, in Danville to Dorothy [Peese] Burke and the late Roy Burke.
Tina was full of life and loved the outdoors. She especially looked forward to mushroom hunting every year, a passion she passed along to her son. Her work at Kickapoo State Park afforded her the chance to be outside doing a job she loved while maintaining the Park and its facilities. She eventually retired after nearly 10 years. In retirement she enjoyed hobbies such as cross-stitching, painting, puzzles, and especially enjoyed playing pool. What she truly looked forward to the most though, was spending time with her two grandsons who were her pride and joy. Tina faithfully attended the Ridge Farm Friends Church.
Tina met the love of her life, Brian Freeman, 12 years ago and the two were united in marriage on April 28, 2022. He survives. Also surviving are her son Andrew Trees and his wife Heather, their two sons Wade and Wyatt Trees; her mother, Dorothy Burke; and her sister Brenda Wells. She also leaves behind many close friends who will miss her dearly.
Per Tinas wishes, cremation rites were accorded by Sunset Funeral Homes Covington Chapel, located at 420 3rd Street in Covington. Online condolences and fond memories can be shared with her family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
