Timothy Pratt, Sr.

Timothy E. Pratt, Sr., aged 74, of Westville passed away on January 1, 2024 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Danville on April 5, 1949 to parents Helen and Earl E. Pratt. They preceded him in death.

Timothy joined the United States Army soon after high school and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He worked in Danville as a prison guard for the State of Illinois for over 25 years before his eventual retirement. He married Patricia Wright on August 1, 1992 and together shared nearly 30 years of marriage before her passing in 2021. One of their favorite pastimes was going to the casino boat in Peoria, a place Timothy still thought fondly of until his passing.

He is survived by children Terry Wright, Steve (Paula) Cramer, Timothy Pratt Jr., Nellie Pratt, and James Cramer; as well as several grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 1-2 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes Urbas Chapel at 414 S. State Street in Westville. A funeral service will be immediately following at 2 pm at the funeral home. He will be placed to rest with Patricia at Danville National Cemetery on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
