Timothy Michael Borgwald

Timothy Michael Borgwald, 75, of Danville passed away at UChicago Medicine on June 26, 2026 at 5:46 AM.

Michael was born on February 15, 1951 in Danville, IL the son of Wilbur and Helen (Niccum) Borgwald. He married Linda L. Chaapel on July 4, 1996 and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Borgwald of Danville, IL, his daughter, Stephanie Smith of Danville, one half-sister, Janice Chalkus of Cayuga, IN as well as several nieces and nephews.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents and one half-sister, Shirley Quick.

Michael worked at Danville District 118 as a Custodian for many years and owned and operated his own DJ business. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and loved to read his Bible every day. Michael enjoyed spending his free time playing golf, bowling, listening to music and sitting on the swing with his wife, Linda. He was also a movie buff, enjoyed playing racing video games and riding his scooter around the neighborhood.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church Danville, Illinois 1930 North Bowman Avenue, Danville, Illinois 61832. Reverend James Yonkers will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 9-10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the church.
