Thomas W. Ellis

Thomas W. Ellis, 73, of Danville passed away at 12:20pm on Wednesday August 29, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Thomas was born October 29, 1933 in Danville the son of Walter and Fannie Young Ellis. In March of 1986 he married Sally Downing in Danville she survives. He is survived by his children Brian (Debbie) Ellis and Tammy Ellis both of Danville. a granddaughter Ashley Songer; Step children Terry (Pattie) McCord of Bismarck, Kellie J. (Brian) Wiegand of Tilton and Cindy K. (Ken) McCord also of Tilton; 11 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren; brothers Harry Jug (Dee) Ellis of Oakwood and Michael (Sue) Ellis of Danville; a sister Beverly Woods of Danville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also leaves his cherished Muffy the Pekinese. He was preceded by his parents and niece Laura VanDuyn. Tom loved to fish and was a long time member of the Vermilion Fishing Club where he was also Vice President of the Club. He retired from Lauhoff Grain Co. where he had been a Millwright. He will be greatly missed by his family and his extended family at the fishing club. A celebration of Toms life will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at 2:00pm at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel with Rev. Tom Schoenherr officiating. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
