Thomas Stanley

Danville Thomas Ralph Stanley, 73, of Danville passed away at 6:57 PM on May 31, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Thomas was born on September 7, 1945 in Turtle Creek, PA the son of David and Edith N. (Sanders) Stanley. He was formerly married to the mother of his children, Judith Townsend Stanley and later Donna Edsall on September 7, 1988 in Kansas City, MO.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Stanley of Danville, IL, one son, Thomas Ralph (Niki) Stanley, II of Jensen Beach, FL, one daughter, Jody (Dustan Wuellner) Stanley of Plainfield, IL, two brothers, David (Sylvia) Stanley of Sharon, PA and Rich (Nancy) Stanley of Greenville, PA , seven grandchildren, Taylor, Hallie, Thomas III, Hannah, Trenten, Marin and Zane as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Thomas is preceded in death by his parents.

Thomas retired from Tee-Pak after 33 years of service where he was an Industrial Engineer. He attended the Grace United Methodist Church in Downers Grove, IL and also attended the Baptist Church in Danville, IL. Thomas was an avid golfer and enjoyed helping others through his works with Habitat for Humanity. He also enjoyed spending his free time going to antique car shows and loved animals.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 2-4 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834

Memorials in Thomas memory are requested to Vermilion County Habitat for Humanity or the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.

Thomas son and daughter hope that Heaven will be "slitty preck" for him.
