Thomas O. Atterbury

Clinton, Ind. -- Thomas O. Atterbury, 91, of Clinton, Indiana and formerly of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away at 12:08 a.m. EST Friday, November 19, 2010 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. He was born November 21, 1918, in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late John C. and Birdie Armstrong Atterbury. He married Edna M. Drollinger on December 3, 1941. Survivors include: one daughter, Sue(Gene)Marshall of Lodi, Indiana; three sons, Larry(Debra)Atterbury of Lodi, Indiana; John Michael Atterbury of Rockville, Indiana and David(Yolanda)Atterbury of Montezuma, Indiana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Connie Ellis and Pat Bush; one son, Robert Lee Atterbury; and one sister. Thomas formerly worked at the Danville Veterans Administration Hospital. He last worked at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri. He was a member of the Clinton Nazarene Church for nine years. For the past two years he attended the Mount Herman Bible Church in Howard, Indiana. Thomas enjoyed going to church and watching old movies on his T.V. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Funeral services: Noon EST Monday, November 22, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Robert Cown; Burial: Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: 10 a.m. EST until time of services Monday, November 22, 2010 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Mount Herman Bible Church in Howard, Indiana.
