Cayuga, Ind. - Thomas Lee Ingram, Sr., 71, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Greenwood, Indiana. He was born December 29, 1940 in Hoopeston, Illinois, the son of the late Edmund L. Ingram and Elsie Queen Ingram Milton. He married Elaine Rife on October 14, 1967 in Hoopeston, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Thomas Lee(Jackie)Ingram, Jr. of Hoopeston, Illinois; Lincoln Todd Ingram of Vandalia, Illinois; Tracey(Mike)Conner of Little Elm, Texas; Nicci(Paul)Sargent of Franklin, Indiana and Melissa(Anthony)Flak of Newport, Indiana; daughter in law, Darla Ingram of Lafayette, Indiana; sister, Alice Shoaf of Danville, Illinois and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, MaryAnn Pearson and one brother, John Ingram. Thomas formerly worked at Bohn/Heat Craft as a forklift driver, retiring after 32 years. He was also a farmer and owned and operated Tom Ingram's Backhoe Service. He was a 1960 graduate of Rossville High School. Thomas enjoyed working on and building different items. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Funeral services: 11:30 A.M. EDT Monday, March 26, 2012 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Paul Sargent; Visitation: 4 to 8 P.M. EDT Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the funeral home. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains to be held at a later date in Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana.
