Thomas J Frankino

Thomas James Frankino, 90, of Westville, IL passed away at9:35am, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Carle Hospital in Urbana Illinois. He was born on April 5, 1925 in Westville, IL the son of Thomas and Ethel Sneyd Frankino. He was a resident of Westville for 90 years. He attended Edison grade school and Westville High School. He was united in marriage to Betty Guthrie Frankino on September 11, 1943. She will miss him dearly. He is also survived by: his daughter, Karen (Gene) Frankino Stefaniak; his grandsons, Gene (Dana) Stefaniak Jr. of Lexington, KY, & Thomas Stefaniak of Minot, ND; and granddaughter, Sarah (Matthew) Stefaniak Musulin of Zebulon, NC; two great grandsons, Andrew Stefaniak and Leo Musulin; and one sister, Lois Hill of Belgium, IL. Thomas was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville. He was initiated into Russell Masonic Lodge No. 154 on Feb. 15, 1955 and became a Master Mason in April 24, 1955. He was honored as Mason of the Year in 2014 and celebrated 60 years as a Mason on April 23, 2015. Thomas was awarded a 50-year membership certificate from Danville Consistory on April 5, 2008, and was a member of the Danville Shriners and Gao Grotto for over 50 years Thomas initiated the Natural Gas Service in Westville in 1958 and continued as the Superintendent of Natural Gas and Water until his retirement. A celebration of Thomas' life will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville. Visitation will be held one hour prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Westville.
