Thomas R. "Dick" McQuown age 78 of Danville Passed away at 12:30 pm Monday August 9, 2004 at his home. He was born on June 28, 1926 in Danville the son of Joseph and Florence Cummins McQuown. He had married Theda Mae Wakeland on June 29, 1947 in Danville she survives, also three sons; Mark Allen (Becky Livingston) McQuown of Danville, Richard Joseph (Rachel) McQuown of Danville and David Kent (Crystal) McQuown of Danville. Two Daughters; Leslie Gail (Kenneth) Merrill of Danville, Theda Renee "Teea" (Daniel) Nys of Neenah WI. One brother Robert (Jeanene McQuown of Bismarck. Two sisters; Norma Hellen of Cincinnati OH, Martha Sue (Russell) Pollitt of Danville. Fifteen grandchildren and Sixteen Great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded by his parents. Dick retired from Warner Cable in 1990 as an account Executive; he also had worked at the WICD Television station and had managed the Lincoln and Palace movie theaters in Danville. He was a member of the Vermilion Heights United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. Dick loved politics and was a former Vermilion Co Board member; he was a 27-year member of AMBUCS. He was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
