Thomas D. Britton

Thomas D. "Tom" Britton, 50, of Champaign died at 8:45 a.m. on Friday (February 22, 2013) at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. He was born on September 8, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona to James and Nina Britton-Jones. He is survived by his mother, Nina Jones; 3 children, Molly, Clay, and Nicole Britton; siblings, Donald Britton and Joann (Glen) Smiley; and 3 grandchildren. Tom is preceded in death by his father, James Britton; and step-father, Wayne Jones. He enjoyed cooking, grilling out and working in the construction trade. He will be fondly remembered for being loving and funny, and he will be greatly missed. Tom's family will welcome friends at a later date to remember and celebrate his life.
