Thomas Bennett

Thomas Ray Bennett, age 57, of Danville, passed away at 8:32 am on Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Provena Covenant in Urbana. He was born March 11, 1950 in Whitley County, Kentucky the son of Clerance and Edna (Gibson) Bennett. Thomas is survived by two daughters: Angela (Eric) Hickman of Danville, April (Jesper) Petersen of Denmark; five grandchildren: Nathan, Loran, and Seth Hickman of Danville and Nicklas and Alexander Petersen of Denmark; one sister: Lois Baker of Barbourville, Kentucky; four brothers: Russell, Ray, Carl, and Bobby Bennett all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; his former wife of 33 years: Susie; a special niece: Tina Newton of Danville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother: Lee Bennett. Thomas worked for 35 years at Quaker Oats. He enjoyed working on old cars, fishing and playing pool. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of the life of Thomas Bennett will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1 to 6 pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the funeral home.
