Theresa I. Collins

Danville, Ill. -- Theresa I. Collins, 85, formerly of Danville, devoted wife of Milford W. Collins, went to be with him and her son Keith, in heaven at 9:40 p.m. EDT Monday, April 4, 2011 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born January 9, 1926 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Shedlock. She married Milford Collins on April 25, 1946 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2004. Survivors include her son, Bruce Collins of Cayuga, Indiana; three grandsons, Jake Collins, Shawn Collins and Damon Collins; one brother, Louis Shedlock of St. Louis, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Alan Collins; five sisters and two brothers. Theresa worked at First National Bank of Danville for 39 years as a auditor, retiring in 1991. She was of Catholic faith. Theresa was a 1944 graduate of Danville High School. She enjoyed reading, camping and fishing. Funeral services: 2 p.m. (Indiana Time) Saturday, April 9, 2011 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Burial: Greenwood Cemetery in Danville, Illinois; Visitation: Noon (Indiana Time) until time of services Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
