THERESA PEARL HANSBROUGH Theresa Pearl Hansbrough, 86, of Danville, passed away at 8:25 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at her home. Theresa was born on January 13, 1921 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Dewey and Gladys Marie (Gardiner) McClain. She married Clyde Hansbrough on February 16, 1939 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 24, 2006. She is survived by one daughter- Clyda (Pat) OConnell of Springfield, Illinois; two sons- George (Janine) Hansbrough of Decatur, Illinois and Dale Hansbrough of Danville; one brother- Chuck (Jean) McClain of Danville; four sisters- Nora Hible of Danville, LaVergie Ross of Tilton, Cora Bales of Danville, and Betty (Allen) Rosdail of Decatur, Illinois; seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son- Woodrow Hansbrough; one foster son- Butch Pruitt; one foster daughter- Thelma Rickets; two sisters- Minnie Downing and Oma Sempscrott; one brother- Oscar McClain; and one grandson- Scott Eric Hansbrough. Theresa worked most of her life as a homemaker. She attended Southside Church of Christ. She loved to collect salt and pepper shakers and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She loved to listen to Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, and Frankie Lane. Theresa was famous for making her light bread biscuits. A Celebration of the Life of Theresa Pearl Hansbrough will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Pastor Tiffany Black officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 " 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. Memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
