Theresa Berutti

Theresa M. Berutti, 87, Naperville, IL passed after a brief illness on Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born October 3, 1937 in East Saint Louis, IL, the daughter of Clemence and Anna Menczkowski.

Theresa, better known as Noni to her grandchildren, was the heart and soul of our family and will be dearly missed. Theresa, a devoted mother, along with the love of her life Anthony, raised their 3 children, Terri, Tony and Joe, in a home filled with much love and happiness.

Theresa retired from the Great Lakes Naval Station in 2001 where she worked Civil Service as a Data System Site Manager for the Navy Personnel Support Detachment receiving several awards for her “can do” spirit and results. Later in life, Theresa received her associates degree with honors from Parkland College, Urbana, IL.

She was a member of the Polish American Ladies Society and a member of the Red Hat Society. She also held various volunteer positions at her local Catholic Parish.

Besides enjoying her family and face-timing with her grandchildren on a weekly basis, Theresa loved collecting Angels and Hummels.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Clemence and Anna Menczkowski, her husband Anthony J. Berutti, Sr., and her sisters Frances Frey Wilkinson and MaryAnn Caniff.  She is survived by her sister Loretta (Jack) Beck and sister-in-law Sylvia Berutti. Also, surviving are her daughter Terri (David) Bell, and sons Tony (Sara) Berutti and Joe (Theresia) Berutti and grandchildren Mary (Pete) Watts, Jeffrey Bell, Christina Bell, Lindsie (Eric) Prunchak, Kacie (Andrew) Eurek, Carly Berutti, Gino Berutti, Marisa (Spencer) Capitani, great-grandchildren Cooper Watts and Quinn Prunchak and several  nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. Malachy’s Catholic Church in Rantoul, IL with entombment immediately following at Maplewood Cemetery Rantoul, IL.
