Theodore 'Ted' Lee Vance

Theodore "Ted" Vance, 72, of Danville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Accolade Healthcare in Danville.

He was born July 26, 1951, in Danville, Illinois, son of Albert and Gloria (Trosper) Vance.

Ted is survived by his mother; his son: Bobby Vance; two sisters: Vickie (Hank) Kaestner and Penny Vance; two brothers: Terry Vance and Albert Vance Jr., and two grandchildren: Shashonna Vance and Cheyenna Vance.

Ted was preceded in death by his father.

Ted served his country faithfully and honorably in the United States Army. He most recently worked at the Danville VA Medical Center in janitorial services. Ted was known to be a "simple man." He loved his beer, country music, playing pool and old carsespecially his Nova.

A Celebration of Life for Ted will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:30AM with Pastor Miles Clark officiating at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 North Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10:30AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
