Thelma Louise Jarvis

Thelma Louise Jarvis, 91, of Danville passed away on August 6, 2007 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Louise was born July 23, 1916 Dolliver, IA daughter of Winnie and Pearl (Morrison) Charles. She married William Jarvis on February 19, 1936 in Danville. He preceded her in 1996. Survivors include four children: David Jarvis (Patricia) of Danville, Marilyn Darnell of Ridge Farm, James C. Jarvis of Tolono, and Michael Jarvis (Wanda) of Cisco. Three sisters: Dolores, Dorothy, and Bonnie, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She was a dedicated homemaker and loving mother. She enjoyed cleaning homes and taking care of people, she loved collecting salt & pepper shakers accumulating hundreds over the years, reading, and old country music. A Celebration of Louises Life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel 105 S. Main St. Oakwood, IL with Pastor Dennis Divan officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
