GEORGETOWN - Thelma Dillman, 88, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:50am, Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, Danville. She was born on December 10th, 1918, in Indianola, IL, the daughter of Robert and Dottie (Burnsworth) Mingee, both deceased. Thelma was widowed by her first husband, Paul S. Evans, in 1941. She was later wed to Leon Dillman until his passing in 1974. Thelma is survived by: her three sons, Jimmie (Jan) Evans of Danville, Donald Dillman of Texas, & Larry (Peggy) Dillman of Ohio; her seven grandchildren; her eighteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her four infant sons - Richard, Bobby, Keith, & Kenneth, her five brothers, & one sister. Thelma truly enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of the Georgetown Church of the Nazarene and loved listening and singing Christmas hymns. She was a people-person and never met a stranger. She dearly enjoyed her time with her three loving nieces - Judy Mitchell, Sherre Boswell, & Tina Bradfield, for their tender loving care during her life and illnesses. She loved all her nieces and nephews and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life Service for Thelma will be held at 10:00am, Monday, November 26th, 2007, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL. Pastor Garry Farris has been asked to officiate the service. Final resting place will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Indianola, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, Sunday, November 25th, 2007, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Thelmas name to Georgetown Church of the Nazarene, N Main & 8th St, Georgetown, IL, 61846.
