Terry Wayne Stonestreet

Terry Wayne Stonestreet, 78, of Gifford, IL passed unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

He was born February 23, 1945 in Urbana, IL, a son of Wayne and Clara (Ackerman) Stonestreet.  He married Linda Adkins, he later married Judy Walsh on August 7, 1976 in the Methodist Church of Gifford.  She survives.

Also surviving are 3 children, Wayne (LeaAnn) Stonestreet of Eldon, MO; Andy Walsh of Canton, MO; Lisa Walsh Combs of Gifford, 9 grandchildren, Kenny Wall; Cody Wall; Shawn Wall; Riley Wall; Trevor Stonestreet; Shawn Walsh; Joselyn Walsh; Ollie Combs, Hannah Combs and a great-grandchild Emily Wall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Sheila and a grandson Daniel.

Terry made his career as grounds supervisor for the University of Illinois, retiring in 1998.  He was a jack of all trades and could carry a conversation with anyone. He loved the12 step program and helped too many friends to count!   Terry and his wife Judy were celebrating 43 years of sobriety together this week.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 on Saturday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 East Grove, Rantoul.

Visitation will be from 2:30 – 4:00, just prior to the service, at Lux Memorial Chapel.
