Terry A. Rosdail, 63, of Tilton, IL passed away at 6:27 AM on April 2, 2023 at home with his family by his side. Terry was a loving husband, father, Papa, brother, son and a friend to all. He will be deeply missed.
Terry was born on October 18, 1959 in Danville, IL, the son of Allen and Betty (McClain) Rosdail. He married Kim Barrett on April 23, 1983. The couple was looking forward to celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary later this month.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Rosdail of Tilton, his children, Abby (Jarred) Chandler of Danville, IL, Alex (Kayla) Rosdail of Oakwood, IL, and Amy (Chase) Robinson of Lizton, IN, three grandchildren, Addisyn Chandler, Hudson and Peyton Robinson, his mother, Betty Rosdail, and two sisters, Damie (Jeff) Cramer and Julie (Joe) Davis, all of Danville, IL, and a very special cousin, Don (Duck) Hible, who Terry thought of as a brother.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Allen Rosdail.
Terry was a member of Second Church of Christ. He was known as a music enthusiast and an avid sports fan, with a love for the Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks, "Da Bears" and the Fighting Illini.
Terry will forever be remembered as one of Danville High Schools finest quarterbacks, leading his team to the 1976 championship game, where Kim became and still remains his most beloved cheerleader. Terry enjoyed coaching a variety of youth sports including softball, hockey, basketball, baseball and football. He was also instrumental in facilitating a Non-Denominational Softball League for many years. Terry was a fierce competitor who strived to bring out the best in his players. His passion for sports was deeply rooted in the love of the game.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2023 at Second Church of Christ in Danville, IL 3350 East Voorhees Street Danville, Illinois 61834. Dr. Dale DeNeal will officiate. Burial will be at McKendree Cemetery in Georgetown, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, April 6, 2023at Second Church of Christ.
Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois, 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in Terrys memory to the Danville Youth Hockey Association or Second Church of Christ.
