Terry M. Torrez Sr.

Oakwood - Terry M. Torrez, Sr., 69, of Oakwood passed away at 11:29 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. He was born on February 20, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Marcus and Anna (Cursio) Torrez. He married Byresia St. Paulo on February 23, 1977 in Chicago. She survives. Also surviving are three children, James Torrez of Tilton, Vanessa Torrez of Danville, and Terry Torrez, Jr. of Oakwood; brother, Frank Torrez; three sisters, Lucy Estrada, Linda Lopez, and Patricia Mesarina; and three grandchildren, Lance, Dakota, and Briley. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Terry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967 - 1969. He retired as a truck driver from El Milagro. He loved Professional Wrestling, especially Ric Flair. He also liked to play games on his computer and will always be remembered for telling jokes and making others laugh. A service to celebrate the life of Terry M. Torrez, Sr., will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Sunset's Oakwood Chapel. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-7 PM on Monday, August 7, also at Sunset in Oakwood.
