Terry Lee Bina

Terry Lee Bina, 64, of Westville, passed away at 5:20am, Saturday, October 12, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born on September 23, 1949, in Danville, the son of Jack Carson and H. Joann Olson-Bina. He was united in marriage to Debra L. Fox-Bina on October 10, 1981, at St. Marys Church, Westville. She will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by: his son, Eric Lee Bina (Kaylen Hoskins) of Westville; his grandchildren, Quentin Bradlee, Ethan James Lee and Preslee Joann Kendall Bina; his sisters, Cathy (Steve) Paxton of Georgetown, Tracy (John) Sleva of St. Cloud, MN, & Jenifer Bina of Georgetown; and his nieces & nephews, Luke Paxton (Ashley Boen), Dylan & Jace Bina, Alexandra & Owen Sleva. He was preceded in death by: his Father, Jack Carson; and his Dad and Mom, Bill Bina and H. Joann Olson-Bina. . Terry graduated from Georgetown High School Class of 67 and received his Bachelors Degree in Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He was an educator, as well as, a history buff and an experienced player of Trivial Pursuit. He was known to his family & friends as a book of knowledge. He taught at St. Marys, Schlarman Academy, & retired from Danvilles Department of Corrections in 2008. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. Visitation will be held 3pm-8pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown. A celebration of Terrys life will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow. Memorial donations may be given in his name to American Cancer Society.
