Terry L. Collison

Danville- Terry L. Collison, 62, of Danville, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2014 after suffering a battle with lung cancer. He was born on April 9, 1952 in Danville, the son of Forest Collison and Mary Evelyn (Foster) Collison Clark. He will be deeply missed by one son, Damon A. (Amanda) Collison, one daughter, Danyel M. (Shannon) Collison, twin brother Jerry L. (Shirley) Collison and brother Joe (Susie Collison), sister, Eunice Mae (Roger) Collison Sands, grandchildren, Sofey Grace Collison and Conner Allyn Collison, Uncle John (Mary) Thatcher, nieces, Tina (Garth) Sands Kagels and their daughters Olivia and Mariyah, Heather (Roy) Collison and their children; Sadina, Jeffery and Elizabeth, Jennifer and family, Joey and family and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, grandma Thatcher and grandma Liya Foster. He started working at Pepsi Cola in Danville on May 18, 1972 and was very dedicated to his work there. He was in the process of retiring when learning of his illness. His best friends were Tim and Julie Howard and Heidi Broadway. His ex-wife Patricia K. Collison and great friend opened her home for Terry at the end in the need of constant care. He loved his church and his pastor and all his grandchildren and children dearly. A celebration of Terrys life will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 5:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in his name to the First Church of the Nazarene in Georgetown.
