Terry E. Koebrich

Danville - Terry Edward Koebrich, 77, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Carle Hospital. He had been in ill health.

Terry was born Nov. 16, 1948, in Danville, IL, the son of Edward C. and Winona Koebrich.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Koebrich. His family includes daughters Lissa (Rob) Perry of Moundsville, WV, and Lori (Kareem) Hill of Concord, NC; grandchildren Riley (Katie) Glines, Brayden (Jessica) Snider, Cole Perry, Erika Perry, Katrina Perry, and Kobi Hill; stepchildren Melissa (Chad) Roach and Jeremy (Wendy) Dines; step-grandchildren Zack and Chaz Roach; Shay (Christopher) Gatche; and Jackson and Jeffrey Dines; and great-grandson Walker Roach.

His siblings include Christine (Fritz) Friedenstein of Buford, GA; Mark (Cathy) Koebrich of Highlands Ranch, CO; Jeffrey (Teresa) Koebrich of Elgin, IL; Mary (Lou) Reik of Danville, IL; Susan (Tim) Green of Austin, TX; and Sharon (Ross) Kness of St. Charles, MO.

A lifelong resident of Danville, Terry graduated from St. Paul School and Schlarman High School. He was active in community organizations, including Danville Light Opera and the Danville Barbershop Chorus. For many years, Terry was a member of a bowling league at Lincoln Lanes.

Terry volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital and was a member of the board of the Vermilion Housing Authority for several years. He was employed by Fred Royal Distributing and previously worked as an usher at the Fisher and Palace movie theaters.

He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Terry and Carol were familiar faces on Sunday mornings at the Village Café.

An avid sports fan, Terry cheered for the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, and Schlarman teams. He was a devoted grandfather who took great joy in the lives of his grandchildren.

Terry will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834, on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 2–4 p.m. He will then be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in a private ceremony.
