Terry Gene Wright

Terry Gene Wright, 66 of Westville, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 PM at the VA Illiana Healthcare Systems in Danville. He was born June 27, 1950 in Danville the son of William E. and Jennie {Davidson} Wright. Surviving are his sisters, Connie (Bill) Devore of Danville and Linda Wright of Danville; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other loving relatives; faithful pets, Katy, Kitty, and Tom; and best buddies Buck Kantout of Westville and Mark Davis of Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy Wright, and sister, Sharon Henricks. Terry proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post #51 in Westville. Terry served on the honor guard for the Westville Post #51. He retired from General Motors after 26 years. Terry was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the San Francisco Giants. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of Terry's life will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 South State Street, Westville. Chaplain Ron Ziemer will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by his fellow legionnaires, Westville Post #51 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11-1 PM prior to services at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in his name to the Westville American Legion Post #51 Honor Guard.
