Terry Epperson

The Lord decided on August 6, 2021 that he needed someone to teach a few new dance moves, so he took Terry Neal Epperson.

Terry was born December 12, 1961 in Danville, Illinois to James Lawrence Epperson and Helen Maria Spencer. Both have preceded him in death.

On April 14, 1984 in Covington, Indiana, he married Lesa Story, who survives. He lived his entire life in Warren County, Indiana at a Covington address.

Terry graduated from Danville Area Community College in 1981 with a degree in computer science. He began his career at 1st National Bank of Danville/Southwest Bancorp of Chicago. Upon its closure he worked for A-Tec Electronics until 2002. With all his computer knowledge, he began his own business in 1985 and worked over the years repairing home base and business computers. In August 2016 he went to work for Cooke Wireless in Danville working for them until his recent illness.

If Terry hadnt worked on their computer, everyone knew him from watching his funny dance moves on the floor. He basked in that limelight. He enjoyed country line and couple dancing with his wife almost every weekend. Terry took an interest in mushrooms, learning all he could about them. He loved foraging and identifying them. He was the go-to for everyone when they found a mushroom.

Besides his wife, Terry leaves behind a son, Trenton Epperson, and a daughter, Alena Epperson. He also leaves a sister, Nancy Holycross, Ellijay, Georgia; a brother, Skip Epperson, Eugene, Indiana; a sister, Frances Cumbow, Covington; and a sister, Rebecca Jones, Covington. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Epperson. He will be greatly missed by all his wonderful friends and family.

Celebration of Terrys Life will be held on Thursday August 12, 2021 11am est at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington 420 3rd street Covington Indiana 47932. He will be laid to rest in Gopher Hill Cemetery in Warren County, Indiana 47932. Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 11, 2021 4-8 pm est.
