Terry Davis

Terry Davis, 46, of Danville, passed away on August 21, 2015. He was born on November 13, 1968 in Danville, the son of James and Nancy (Meeks) Davis. He married Cathy (Williamson) Griffith after 20 years, on March 14, 2015 in Danville and she survives. Terry will be deeply missed by his mother Nancy Davis of Danville, wife, Cathy Davis of Danville, sons, David (Stacey) Griffith of Indianapolis and Steven (Brittany) Griffith of Danville, sisters, Jamie (Chris) Hicks of Westville and Michele Davis of Danville, grandchildren; Allie, Kaleb, Henry, Steven Jr. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James and brother, Danul Davis. Terry worked construction throughout his whole life, but always gravitated towards roofing. In 2010 he achieved his dream of creating and being sole owner of Above The Rest Roofing Company. He enjoyed camping, big game fishing, cars/trucks and being up on the roof. He was the life of the party and made sure everyone had a great time while in his presence. Whenever someone was in need their needs or worries never fell on deaf ears. Although being the boss and running his dream took up quite a bit of time, family always came first, especially his grandkids. However, when the grandkids were around he was no longer the boss. Terry was truly Above The Rest. A celebration of Terry's life will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 PM prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park.
