Terra Dillon

Danville- Terra Dillon 47, of Danville left this life at 5:25 p.m. on Thurs. March 6, 2014 at her residence. Terra was born January 8, 1967 in Lafayette, IN. She was the daughter of Terry and Tomma McBride Craycraft. Terra married Lance Dillon on Aug. 27, 1988 in Danville, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her parents Terry Craycraft in Ohio and Tomma Craycraft of Danville. A daughter Ashlee (Brian) Weidenburner of Rossville, IL. 2 sons Lance A. Dillon II of Tempe, AZ and Zane Dillon of Danville, IL. Also surviving a brother Timmy Craycraft; 2 grandsons Dalton and Drew Weidenburner of Rossville, IL. She was preceded in death by a brother Tiawon Craycraft. Terra graduated from Danville High School and went on to further her education at the University of Illinois. She was a second lieutenant in the Army Reserves. After graduating from the U of I she had a strong desire to practice law obtaining her Juris Doctorate at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Terra started her private law practice in Danville in 2004. She was the secretary of the Vermilion County bar association. She had passion for her career, but her greatest passion of all was her family. She enjoyed travelling and watching her kids play on their various sports teams. She enjoyed skydiving where she had several jumps to her name. A Celebration of Terras life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday March 13, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Pastor Michael Heidle will be officiating. As per Terras wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Her family invites you for a gathering and a time of sharing from 3 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Schlarman Academy.
