Teresa Dawn 'Terri' Or 'T' Cornell

Rossville - Teresa Dawn "Terri" or "T" Cornell, 56, of Rossville, IL passed away at home on March 20, 2017 at 5:48 PM. Teresa was born on September 6, 1960 the daughter of William J. Roberts and Charlotte Pickett in Danville, IL. She married Ronnie Cornell on April 22, 1978 at her family home in Rossville and he survives. Survivors include her parents, William J. Roberts, of Danville, IL Charlotte (Frederick) C. Hoffman of Rossville, IL, her husband, Ronnie Cornell of Rossville, IL, two daughters, Brandy (Deron) Owens of Henning, IL, and Ashley Cornell of Rossville, IL, two brothers, Richard (Belinda) Roberts of Rankin, IL, and Brian (Kim) Hoffman of Danville, IL, three sisters, Pamela (Jack) Ray of Rossville, IL, Jeanette Hoffman of Hoopeston, IL and Deborah (Bob) Sarko of Warrensburg, IL, four grandchildren, Maci, Jordyn, Devyn, and Kaydyn as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. Teresa attended the Rossville United Methodist Church. She graduated from Rossville High School where she was a Track and Volleyball athletic standout. She received her degree in Data Processing from DACC and worked in data processing at P&EI Inc, M&M Pallet, and McLane's. She also tended bar at The Village Pub and was the bartender and bar manager of American Legion Post 733 in Rossville. Later in her career she was employed at Accent/LinCare and then worked as a home healthcare aid for AlphaCare/ResCare. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, IL. Larry Baughn and Bob Ray will co-officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
