Tawna Gilbert

Tawna Gilbert, 71, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:51pm, Monday, July 11, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. She was born in Danville on June 2, 1951, the daughter of John K. and Edith M. {Mollett} Lacey. She was married to Gene Gilbert on August 3, 2007. He survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Noell Howard; her grandchildren, Riece and Riede Stone; her brothers, Ronald "Butch" (Nancy) Lacey and Danny Ray (Marla) Lacey; and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John, and her sister, Bonnie. She worked as drug/alcohol counselor for 30 years. She loved working in the garden all the time tending to her flowers. She loved her family, and they will miss her dearly. As per her wishes, she will be accorded cremation rites and there will be no services. Her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846. Memorial donations may be given in her name to donors choice of charity.
