Tamara Kay Pickering

Danville Tamara Kay Pickering, 62, of Danville, IN formerly of Danville, IL entered her heavenly home at 4:00 PM on April 6, 2020 at Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville, IN.

Tamara was born on January 29, 1958 the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Ross) Pickering.

Survivors include one daughter, Heidi (Doug Roderick) Ritter of North Salem, IN, one son, Dennis Ritter Jr of Danville, IN, and two grandchildren, Joshua Roderick and Christian Ritter as well as, many very special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Tamara is preceded in death by her father, Robert Pickering and her loving husband Dennis Lee Ritter, Sr.

Tamara loved spending time with her grandson, Joshua and adored her daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Doug, her son, Dennis, Jr as well as his son Christian. Tamara greatly enjoyed Dennis, Jrs jokes and he could always make her laugh. She also enjoyed traveling to Tennessee with her daughter Heidi and grandson Joshua. Tamara cherished her children and grandchildren. She never took a single day or individual for granted. Those that knew her loved her and she loved everyone. Tamara never knew the word hate. Tamara was also a very hard worker and no matter how tired she was, she always stayed positive and dedicated herself to her family. She was incredibly selfless. Her faith in God and mankind was so tremendously admirable. Tamara didn't just become an angel on April 6th, she already was, now she just has wings.

A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 11th, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Robbie Ketcherside will officiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Private family visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020 from 9:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
