Sylvia Tillie Bernice Price, 93, of Danville, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Sylvia was born on February 10, 1913 in LErable, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Lagesse) Noel. She married Leo Price on June 30, 1932 in Danville. He preceded her in death in October of 1963. She is survived by her two sons- Ron (Vickie) Price of Danville and Marvin Price of Springfield; one daughter- Carolyn (Jim) Rogers of Danville; one daughter-in-law- Nora Price of Danville; one sister- Sally Sumila of Danville; eight grandchildren- Linda (Richard) Richardson of Kingman, Indiana, Chris (Barbara) Rogers of Goose Creek, South Carolina, Teresa (Tim) Ard of Danville, Jim (Lisa) Rogers of Catlin, Patricia Finley of Danville, Susan Rogers of Lake Champlain, New York, Ron Price of Danville, and Kim (Joe Beaulier) Price of Danville; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and all of her very special friend at Valleyview Apartments. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son- William Price; two infant grandsons- Timothy Rogers and Michael Rogers; six sisters and seven brothers. Sylvia was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a homemaker where she spent her time babysitting children. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, traveling, and working on her word search puzzles. She loved to play euchre and was involved in a euchre club. She enjoyed spending time playing dice games with her sister. Sylvia took pleasure in taking care of her African violets. She was a past regent of the Daughter of Isabella. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Family Catholic Church, with Father Ted Pracz officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.
