Susie Marie Roberts

Susie Marie Roberts, 99, of Danville, passed away at 1:14 a.m. Sunday January 2, 2005 at Colonial Manor. Susie was born in Oxford, IN on September 29, 1905 the daughter of Charles and Catherine Elizabeth Herb. She married George W. Roberts in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1968. Susie was a homemaker, a terrific cook and seamstress. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She was known as "Big Mom" by her family and friends. She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church. Susie is survived by one son, George W. (Bill) Roberts Jr. of Danville; two daughters, Jackie Ryan of Danville and Sandy (Chip) Hutchison of Lake Forest, IL; one sister, Millie (Bob) Cleghorn of Rosedale, IN; eight grandchildren, Lana "Jody" (Kenneth) Kesinger of Catlin, Tim Ryan of Danville, Susan Roberts, Billy Roberts, Jim Roberts all of Westville, Angela (David) Frazier of Carmel, IN, Tim Hutchison of Lexington Park, MD and David Hutchison of Dallas, TX; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one infant daughter, six brothers, three sisters and a special son-in-law, Jack Ryan.
