Susan Rhodes

Susan Kay Rhodes, 62, of Urbana, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Champaign. She was born August 17, 1953 in Danville, the daughter of Glen T. and Emma Foster Matthews. Surviving Susan are her three daughters, Ashlee M. Rhodes, Kaitlyn M. Abernathy, and Taylor L. Abernathy; one brother, Randy Matthews; one sister, Linda Moore; and three grandchildren, Malachi Jordan, Aaliyah Abernathy and Tyler Jenkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Matthews. A celebration of the life of Susan Kay Rhodes will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at First Christian Church, 3601 S Staley Road, Champaign, Illinois 61822. Pastor Hank Sanford will be officiating services. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Champaign-Urbana Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
