Susan M Brumett

Alvin Susan M Brumett, 65, of Alvin, passed away at 4:15 AM at Hilltop Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Charleston, IL on July 25, 2021.

Susan was born on October 17, 1955 the daughter of Jack and Jean (Dempsey) Horn in Danville, IL. She married Joseph Brumett on October 20, 1973 in Danville and he survives.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Brumett, her two children, Buffy Marie Laux, and Michael Brumett, eight grandchildren, as well as one brother, Brian Horn and three sisters, Phyllis Garrett, Kathy Roberts, and Ruth Ann Horn.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Joey Brumett and Jason Brumett as well as one granddaughter, Bridget.

In her younger years, Susan enjoyed traveling with her husband, Joe, and simply being outside. She was very friendly and a people person who never met a stranger. Susan also enjoyed her Gameshow Programs on television.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834. Terry Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Manns Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at the funeral home.
