Susan L. Koch

Susan was born on May 5, 1959, in Grand Rapids, MI to Clifford and Lorraine (Reynhout) Goeree. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Grace Bible College in 1979. She met Robert Koch, and they married on July 18, 1981, and together they raised three children, Robert, Jen, and Seth. 

Susan’s passion was her faith in God and her family. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her so much joy! She also loved her kitties and reading. Susan was known for her warm welcome, making a loving home for her family. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she loved and those who love her. 

Susan was preceded in passing by her husband Robert Koch and her parents, Clifford and Lorraine Goeree. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Robert and Melissa, Jen and Joe, and Seth and Britney, along with six grandchildren, Cadence and Adelaide Koch, William, Eric, and Declan Gillen, and baby girl Koch on the way, and her three siblings Dale (Jane), Don (Terri), and Sharon (Troy) and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at Grace Christian University, 1011 Aldon St SW Grand Rapids, MI 49509, in the Baker Chapel on September 4, 2026, at 3pm with a time of fellowship to follow.
