Susan K 'Suz' Gillespie

WESTVILLE - Susan K. Suz (Riggle) Gillespie, 63, of Westville and formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 7:20am on March 20th, 2005, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on November 25th, 1941, in Georgetown, to Charles R. and Ruth P. (Browning) Riggle. Early in Susans infancy, she lost her mother and was then raised by her loving grandparents, Iva and Lingle Riggle. On October 22nd, 1961, she had married Floyd Dean Gillespie of Georgetown. They later divorced. Those who will miss Susan include: her two sons, Troy (Eva Casey) Gillespie, and Kenny Gillespie both of Westville; her step mother, Nellie Riggle of Westville; two brothers, Warren Riggle of Danville, and Albert (Sharon) Riggle of Sidell; her two sisters, Ruby Mariage and Donna (Jack) Deck, both of Georgetown; her four sisters-in-law, Cathryn Snider of Westville, Diane Fuller of Missouri, Barb Miller of Westville and Linda (Red) Jennings of Attica, IN; her four grandchildren, Jayden, Kelton, Sabastian, and Connor; and her many nieces and nephews. She also had three friends, Mary Belle Killion, Norma Elliott, and Helen Winkler who were very special to her. Her father, her grandparents who raised her and three brothers, preceded her in death. Susan was a homemaker and a member of the South Side Church of the Nazarene and was very involved in many church functions including serving as a missionary President. She loved making crafts with her hands including sewing and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
