Susan K. Kinney

Susan K. Kinney, 63, of Danville, passed away at 5:20am on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Provena USMC in Danville. She was born on May 2, 1948, in Danville, the daughter of Robert and Helen Bireline-Pentecost. On May 21, 1988, Susan married William Bill Kinney in Georgetown, IL. He survives along with her mother, Helen, and William Pentecost, and three children; Andy Ballard of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Kim Hensler of Danville, and Sara (Ralph) Washington of Edwardsville, IL. Her five grandchildren; Jordan, Akoyia, Ambria, Isaiah, Isaac, three sisters; Patty Pat (Mark) Paris of Danville, Jamie Beriline, Sue (Jerry) Davis of Danville, Julie (Charles)Lee of Magnolia, Texas, as well as her brother and sister-in-laws; Kenneth (Doris) Kinney, Edith (Joe) Earle, Dorothy Peevler, Albert (Judy) Kinney, Lois (Ron) Warner, Jennie (George) Conklin, many nieces and nephews, and special friends which she loved dearly. Her father, Robert, and brother; Robert Rick Bireline preceded Susan in death. She was a people person who never met a stranger and would always have that caring attitude towards everyone. She was employed at several banking institutions in Danville, most recently Old National, located in downtown Danville. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and anything to do with the outdoors. She also enjoyed making her annual trip to the Covered Bridge Festival, and yard sales. Her children, grandchildren, and extended family met everything to Susan; she will be sadly missed by her family, and friends. A Celebration of the Life of Susan K. Kinney will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Susans family will recieve friends from 4-8pm on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the funeral home.
