Susan J. Hall,68, affectionately known as "Suzy," passed away suddenly on March 27, 2026, in Urbana, Illinois, after a very fast onset of illness. Born on November 8, 1957, in Danville, Illinois, Susan lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and a profound love for those around her.
Throughout her diverse and meaningful career, Susan embraced a multitude of roles, devoting herself to helping others in many ways—whether assisting people with medical problems, lending a hand in building homes, or supporting individuals as they rebuilt their lives. Her work was a true reflection of her generous spirit and unwavering commitment to service.
Suzy was a woman who truly loved to be with people. Her personality shone brightly in every interaction, making those around her feel valued and cherished. In her leisure time, she engaged in numerous hobbies and interests that reflected her vibrant and creative nature. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafting, graphic design on the computer, and leisurely pursuits such as playing Yahtzee, bowling, and fishing. These passions not only enriched her life but also brought joy to her family and friends.
Among her proudest accomplishments was her status as a Life Donor, a testament to her selflessness and enduring desire to contribute positively to the well-being of others, even in passing.
Suzy’s fondest memories were often spent simply enjoying time with her beloved husband, Michael Tenorio, the love of her life. Together, they shared quiet moments playing games and watching television, moments that underscored the deep bond and affection they held for one another.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Tenorio; her children Amber Rodgers (and her husband Jeff) of Westfield, Indiana; Elizabeth “Neily” Sams of Aurora, Illinois; Justin Hall (and his wife Brittney) of Greenup, Kentucky; and Randi B. Wise (and her husband Dakota) of Cayuga, Indiana. Susan also leaves behind a cherished legacy among her grandchildren Myles, Trystan, Zachary, Gavin, Garrett, Gabriel, Grayson, Gunther, and Arabella, as well as great-grandchildren Rylee and Braxton.
Suzy was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Valarie (Taylor) Smith, her grandparents Evelyn and Virgil Taylor, and grandchildren Andrew, Rachel, and Trenton.
