Susan G. LaBaw Duckett White, 63, of Tilton went to be with her Lord at 7:20 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana after complications with Diabetes. Susan was born on May 12, 1942 in Danville, the daughter of Wayne A. and Mary Jane (Johnson) LaBaw. She married Raymond L. White on September 29, 1984 in Danville. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2004. She is survived by her two sons- Gregory Duckett of Ames, Iowa and also Danville and Steven Duckett of Danville; two step-daughters- Joni (Jim) Wille of Des Plaines, Illinois and LeAnn (Stephen) Cowap of St. Charles, Missouri; one brother- Gary W. LaBaw of Georgetown, IL; one brother-in-law- Robert Stuebe of Catlin, IL; one sister- Jeanette (Gregory) Hoss of Danville; seven grandchildren- Joe (Terri) Cowap, Elizabeth Cowap, Mary Cowap, Rachel Cowap, Amy Wille, Lisa Wille, and Sam Wille; one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L. White, parents- Wayne A. LaBaw and Mary Jane Johnson LaBaw; and one sister Cheryl L. Stuebe. Susan was a 1961 graduate of Danville High School. She worked at Eagle Country Market until she retired. She was a member of the Second Church of Christ in Danville. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed doing floral design and traveling. She loved music and enjoyed playing the organ, piano, and accordion. She was a former PTA president and volunteered at Provena. A celebration of the life of Susan G. LaBaw Duckett White will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Second Church of Christ in Danville, with Rev. Steve Mentzer. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Second Church of Christ Building Fund.
