Sue Ellen 'Snikey' Knight

Danville - Sue Ellen "Snikey" Knight, 59 of Savoy, formerly of Danville, IL passed away at 7:50 AM at her home in Savoy, IL on April 3, 2017. Sue Ellen was born on February 9, 1958 the daughter of James V. and Beatrice M. (Buyers) Fout in Danville, IL. She married William "Cody" Knight on November 22, 1999 in Champaign, IL and he survives. Survivors include her husband "Cody" Knight of Savoy, IL, two daughters, Cassandra K. (Patrick) James of Panama City, FL, and Genie (John) Buhoveckey of Westville, IL, one brother, Daniel (Vickey) Fout of Fairmount, IL, two sisters Jane (Bill) Lamb of Frostproof, FL and Beatrice Lamb of Lenox, IA, eight grandchildren, Austin, Lillian, James, Jaidha, Braden, Jaycelin, Gavin and Keeley as well as one great grandchild, Bentley. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents. Sue Ellen was a MOA at Christie Clinic and a CNA at the Carle Arbours. She was good Christian woman, a wonderful wife, a loving mother and a genuinely giving and caring person. She also loved animals, was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed spending free time crocheting, reading, taking walks, going to the beach and being around the water. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and received the Girl Scout Leader of the Year award in 1987. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday April 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Vermilion Valley Vineyard Church, 3733 Poolside Drive Danville, IL with Pastor Jay Sorrell officiating. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
