Stuart Newlin

Stuart Newlin, 48, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday October 8, 2024. Stuart was born January 2, 1976, the son of Jeffery and Sharon (Rogers) Newlin in Danville, Illinois. Stuart married Chasity Callahan on March 30, 2017.

Surviving Stuart is his wife Chasity Newlin, parents, Jeffery and Sharon Newlin, children, Zebadiah, Gabriel, and Trula Briar Rose Newlin, Gavin and Reece Dunbar, Grandmother, Imogene Rogers, brothers, Kurtis (Katie) Newlin, and Andrew (Heidi) Newlin, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Stuart was expecting his first grandchild in January.

Stuart was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Bennett and Ann Newlin, Grandfather Everett Rogers Sr and his mother-in-law, Debra Callahan.

Stuart grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Georgetown Ridge Farm Highschool in 1994. He worked at NuCor in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He enjoyed woodworking, he was the most creative person, either drawing or making things. Stuart loved sports; from the time he competed to watching his children compete. Stuart enjoyed going on trips with his wife Chasity. He had a sense of humor and loved making everyone laugh.

Stuart will be remembered for his love of his family and his generous heart. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 4-7pm at Sunset’s Houghton Leasure funeral home 200 E West St Georgetown, Illinois. Memorial service will be follow the visitation at the funeral home at 7pm. Pastor Garry Hendrick will officiate.
