Stuart T. Miller, 87, of Danville, IL passed away February 8, 2007 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. He was born February 17, 1919 in Delray, IL son of John S. and Fawn Roach Miller. He married Maxine French on June 27, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. She survives along with three sons: Richard (Bobbie) Miller of Toledo, OH; H. Dean Miller of Danville, IL; Thomas (Debby) Miller of Paris, IL; daughter: Connie (Doral) Miller of Defiance, OH; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and sister: Margaret Welsh of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin grandsons: Joshua & Chad, and sister Geneva. Stuart worked at General Motors as a millwright for 38 + years and served on the board at the U.A. W. Credit Union. He was a member of the Hope Christian Church in Hope, IL, U.A. W. 579 in Tilton, Shriners, Eastern Star, Eastern Illinois Shrine Club, Olive Branch Masonic Lodge for 50 + years, and the GAO Grotto. A Celebration of Stuarts life will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, with Pastor Bill Carpenter officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Saturday afternoon at the funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Parks Mausoleum in Danville. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Faith Church of Christ, Shriners, and/or donors choice.
