Stuart Gregg, 84, of Danville, passed away on November 7, 2013 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy, IL. He was born on March 6, 1929 in Aurora, IL, the son of Howard and Cora (Evans) Gregg. He married Nancy Piser on June 23, 1953 in Chicago. Nancy preceded Stuart in death in 2005. Surviving him are three sons, Daniel (Lori) Gregg of Antioch, IL, Steven Gregg of Indianapolis, IN, Brian Gregg of Mareno Valley, CA, two daughters, Deborah (Jim) Poppe of Hoopeston, IL, Ruth (John) VanDuzer of Carey, IL, thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one half sister, one grandson, Daniel Gregg and one great granddaughter, Heather Reilly. He was a factory worker for most of his life, working as a machine operator. Stuart was in the U.S. Army and served his country in the Korean War from 1950-1953 where he received two purple hearts. He enjoyed going fishing and reading. A celebration of Stuarts life will be held at a later date. His wishes were to be cremated and placed in Fairview Memorial Park in Northlake, IL next to his wife.
