Steven Mckinney

Steven "Peaceman" McKinney, 65, of Georgetown died peace full at his home surrounded by loved ones. Steve was a graduate of Georgetown High School; He was a free spirit and worked at many jobs before settling at Truck driving for many years. He moved back to his childhood home to care for his mother in her later years. Steve enjoyed going to Richs Family Restaurant for breakfast and for coffee with his friends. He also enjoyed going for lunch and making friends with the staff wherever he went.

Steve was born June 10, 1958, in Danville to George and Doris (Tinder) McKinney Sr. Steve will be missed by many including his brother George (Susan) McKinney of Cayuga, Indiana, Cousin Penny Cope of Sheridan, Arkansa, his best friend of many years Mike Meeker of Georgetown, several nephews and a niece, Mellisa McKinney of Indianapolis.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dennis and Bruce and a sister-in-law Beverely McKinney.

A visitation will be held 10 am 12 pm on Thursday January 4, 2023, at Sunsets Georgetown Funeral Home, 200 East West Street. A private burial at Forrest Park Cemetery will take place at a later time. Please join the family of Steve in leaving memories on his tribute wall at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
